Brooklyn Bridge Park Announces Fem-Tastic Outdoor Summer Movie Series
BROOKLYN BRIDGE PARK – The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy announced on Thursday this summer’s Movies With A View lineup, featuring eight films that celebrate the work of women, trans-women, and genderqueer directors.
Now in its 19th year, this edition of the outdoor film series, SHE DIRECTS, kicks off on July 12 and will run weekly on Thursday evenings until August 30. Starting at 6pm, prior to each screening, there will be DJs and short films selected by Bamcinématek. The featured DJs and directors of the shorts are all women and trans-women as well.
Smorgasborg has partnered with the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy this year and a rotating roster of vendors will be on hand each week offering sweet and savory treats as well as drinks, including beer and wine. Movies will begin at sundown.
