Fire On The Brooklyn Bridge Leaves One Dead, 5 Injured Day Before Thanksgiving
BROOKLYN BRIDGE – One person is dead and five are injured after three cars crashed and erupted into flames on the Brooklyn-bound side of the Brooklyn Bridge this morning at 7:15 a.m.
Both sides of the bridge were forced to shut down the day before Thanksgiving, but the Manhattan-bound has re-opened since 8:30 a.m., the FDNY said. Traffic and delays in the area are expected.
According to the NYPD, one person died in the fire while the remaining five survived with minor injuries. No information on the victim is yet available.
