Brooklyn ARTery Pops Up on Cortelyou for the Holidays

Brooklyn ARTery’s Susan Siegel and Jocelyn Lucas-Rosenberg are opening a pop-up gift shop for the holidays on Cortelyou Road. The temporary store will open its doors in November at 1020 Cortelyou, in the cinderblock storefront right next door to the old Vox Pop space (pictured above).

The storefront is set back from the street, and Susan says there will be holiday lights and displays, decorative posts and a banner to let passersby know what’s inside the shop.

As to what exactly will be inside the shop, Susan provided a list to whet neighborhood appetites:

Apparel: knitted hats, scarves, gloves; silkscreened baby clothes, t-shirts, clothes
Jewelry: earrings, bracelets, necklaces, rings
Artwork: paintings, sculptures, prints, photography
Table top accents: Pottery, wood, and blown glass bowls, plates, vases, coasters, placemats, cutting boards, picture frames, candles
Personal Care Accents: soaps, oils, aromatherapy products
Handmade foods: salsa, candy bars, bottled drinks, canned chutney and fruits
Home decor: lamps, frames, cutting boards, rugs
Furniture: tables, chairs
Specialty gifts: handbags, books, dolls, cards, mobiles

Brooklyn ARTery will also hold classes at Lark and the Sunday craft market. It seems it’ll be a unique addition to the neighborhood for the holidays. You can find more information at brooklynartery.net
