Brooklyn Army Terminal/Sunset Park Ferry Stop Temporarily Closed

SUNSET PARK – NYC Ferry has announced that service to the Brooklyn Army Terminal/Sunset Park stop is temporarily suspended for maintenance.

For approximately three to four weeks, the South Brooklyn route will bypass the Sunset Park stop in both directions and ferries on the Rockaway route will be re-routed to Bay Ridge so that work can be performed on the BAT/Sunset Park ferry landing and the barge can be replaced. The new barge will accommodate more vessels and will feature wider gangways and automatic ramps to make boarding easier for commuters.

The South Brooklyn Route typically stops at Bay Ridge – Sunset Park – Red Hook –  Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 6/Atlantic Avenue – DUMBO – Wall Street/Pier 11. It will skip the BAT/Sunset Park stop during the maintenance work. Click here for the current South Brooklyn ferry schedule.

The Rockaway Route typically makes stops at Rockaway – Sunset Park – Wall Street/Pier 11. It will stop at Bay Ridge instead of BAT/Sunset Park during the next few weeks. Commuters who need to travel between Bay Ridge and Sunset Park can take a free shuttle bus. Click here for the shuttle bus schedule and click here for the current Rockaway ferry schedule.
