Artist Arthur Wood spent almost three decades making Broken Angel, a building on Downing Street in Clinton Hill, into an iconic Brooklyn sculpture. He lost the building to foreclosure and was evicted in May 2013 – after several years of legal wrangling – and it was sold last month to a condominium developer, Barrett Design and Development.
