Bright N’ Green Condo Going Up In Brighton

A few days ago, a report emerged from the blog of Douglas Elliman broker William Hendrickson that a major new environmental building project was slated for Brighton Beach.

For some mysterious reason, the original post has been taken down, as noted by Brownstoner. However, Curbed managed to report on the news prior to the disappearance of the original source.

The architecture firm that is in charge of the design is managed by Robert Scarano, an infamous architect who has been banned from submitting documents to the Department of Buildings after he was found to be deliberately submitting falsified or misleading paperwork.

The 15,000-square-foot building at 67 Brighton 1st Lane will be known as “Bright N’ Green.” It will feature an eco-friendly design that encompasses all six condos. There will be solar panels and wind turbines on the roof for generating energy, insulated panel walls, a grey water filtering and recycling system and other sustainable additions.
