Get your $20 tickets for the inaugural Brooklyn Freelancers Summit from 10am to 2pm this coming Monday, April 20, at BRIC House (647 Fulton Street), where expert entrepreneurs, businessowners and academics will be speaking and leading sessions on “the primary issues affecting the freelance economy, and [how to] shape and grow [your] businesses, evolve [your] personal brand, and expand [your] reach.”

Scheduled speakers include Borough President Eric Adams; Miguel McKelvey of WeWork; Vinay Jain of Shake Law; Alex Rappaport of Flocabulary; Professor Arun Sundararajan of NYU; and more.

Chamber President/CEO Carlo Scissura noted that “73,432 Brooklynites identify themselves as self-employed, accounting for 5.65% of the borough’s overall workforce” and the event is a way “to further expand, improve and strengthen the business climate for the self-employed sector in Brooklyn.”
