A woman was seriously injured this afternoon in a fire at a building on McDonald Avenue in Gravesend, writes DNAinfo.
The blaze began just before 1 p.m. on the second floor of 2500 McDonald Avenue, near Avenue X.
Fire sources said that a search and rescue team was delayed by the building’s severe clutter, known by firefighters as a “Collyer’s Mansion.”
It’s not currently known where the woman was hospitalized.
