A 23-year-old Brooklyn man was arrested on Monday after crashing a stolen car into a Prospect-Lefferts Gardens brownstone and trying to dash away from the scene.

Police pulled over Anthony Hurry for a minor traffic infraction on Flatbush Avenue near Parkside Avenue around 10am, said cops. But then, Hurry peeled away and turned on Rutland Road.

But near Bedford Avenue, he sped out of control and smashed into the wall and adjoining stoop of a Rutland Road home. There were no reported injuries at the scene.

Hurry tried to run away from the wreck on foot, but police caught him down the street and later learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen at 9:30am in Brownsville.

The car’s owner left the keys in the ignition while unloading the trunk, said cops.

Hurry was slapped with several charges including criminal possession of stolen property and reckless endangerment, said police. Hurry had six prior arrests on his record dating back to 2010.

One neighbor said that it seems the car hit other cars near Fenimore Street and Flatbush Avenue before rushing down Rutland Road, swerving around an SUV, before losing control and demolishing the front stoop.

This collision happened one block from the Lefferts Gardens Montessori School and only a few blocks from several other preschools, public schools, and day care centers. One local parent said that this is her child’s bus stop.

There have been 16 traffic-related injuries at the intersection of Rutland Road and Bedford Avenue since 2009, and many more on neighboring streets, according to Vision Zero Data.
