Breakfast Bite Of The Day: Batata

Almost exactly a year ago Batata opened its doors on Fort Hamilton Parkway and began serving up delicious Middle Eastern dishes. We stopped by this week to grab some breakfast eats from their all day breakfast menue, but this isn’t the place to go for early morning eaters, the shop doesn’t open until 10am.

We are particularly fond of the Egg and Cheese Pita ($5). The pita is packed with eggs that are freshly scrambled with cheese. It’s a delicious and filling way to start the day, or the afternoon, since you can grab one any time of the day.

We are also always happy to have a good go-to place for a smoothie and the smoothies at Batata hit the spot. We love the Peanut Butter, Banana, and Cinnamon smoothie ($7). And we can’t wait to try some of the other combinations. The smoothies aren’t cheap but they are pretty delicious.

Have you tried any of the breakfast dishes at Batata? What do you think?
