BP Eric Adams & Flatbush Development Corporation Invite Neighbors To A Thursday Night Town Hall Meeting About Crime In Ditmas Park
Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and the Flatbush Development Corporation are inviting the community to a town hall meeting Thursday night to address concerns regarding crime in our neighborhood, particularly the string of armed robberies at local businesses.
The meeting will be held at 7:30pm on Thursday, November 20, in PS 139‘s auditorium (330 Rugby Road).
FDC Executive Director Robin Redmond and Church Avenue BID Executive Director Lauren Elvers Collins will moderate the town hall. Others expected to be in attendance include police from the 70th Precinct, Councilman Mathieu Eugene, Councilman Jumaane Williams, Assemblywoman Rhoda Jacobs, Assemblyman Jim Brennan, and state Sen. Kevin Parker, among others.
Adams and the FDC said in a statement that neighbors will have the opportunity to address their elected officials and the NYPD at the gathering.
The gathering follows a series of crimes in our area, including armed robberies at Lark Café, Ox Cart Tavern, Mimi’s Hummus, and the Stratford Deli.
