Borough Park Boy Rescued From Collapsed Igloo
A 7-year-old boy was rescued from a collapsed igloo in Borough Park last night, according to fire officials.
The boy was playing inside the igloo in the back yard of his 52nd Street home at 7:30pm, when it suddenly caved in, burying the boy in a 10-foot of pile of snow. A friend noticed the boy’s fingers sticking out of the ice and called for help, reports ABC 7.
The boy was trapped for 12 minutes before Hatzolah EMS and the FDNY dug him out.
He was taken to Lutheran Hospital where he was treated for minor cuts and bruises.
