Bon Iver at Kings Theater
When: Monday, December 12 and Tuesday, December 13 at 8pm.
Where: Kings Theater, 1027 Flatbush Avenue between Tilden Avenue and Duryea Place.
What: Come see legendary Bon Iver (French for “good winter”) and opener Fog at the Kings Theater.

Community Board 14 general meeting
When: Monday, December 12 at 7:30pm
Where: P.S. 249, 18 Marlborough Road between Caton & Church Avenues.
What: Learn about what’s going on in your neighborhood a the CB 14 meeting, see the meeting agenda here.
How much: Free.

Gilded Grape’s 12 nights of tasting
When: Every day from 6pm to 8pm (see daily schedule, through Dec. 19)
Where: The Gilded Grape, 727 Church Avenue between East 7th and East 8th Street.
What: Check out great pairings all week at the local wine & spirit shop’s 12 nights of tastings — featuring treats from Der Pioneer (opening soon on Church Avenue) on Wednesday. See the whole schedule here.

PS 217 Open House
When: Tuesday, December 13 from 8:30am to 10am.
Where: PS 217, 1100 Newkirk Avenue between Coney Island Avenue & Westminster Road.
What: Tour the 1925 building, see classrooms in action, and meet administrators and staff at the PS 217 open house. RSPV to Mara Dubovici at LDubovici@schools.nyc.gov.

Dead Distillers: Book Talk and Tasting at Green-Wood
When: Wednesday, December 14 from 7pm to 9pm.
Where: Green-Wood Cemetery, entrance at 5th Avenue and 25th Street.
What: Hear stories about the Whiskey Wars of 1869 from author Colin Spoelman (Dead Distillers: A History of the Upstarts and Outlaws Who Made American Spirits), with tastings from Kings County Distillery.
How much: $5 for members, $15 for non-members.

When: Wednesday, December 14 from 8:30pm to 10pm.
Where: Brooklyn Brainery Windsor Terrace, 1233 Prospect Avenue between Vanderbilt Avenue & Reeve Place.
What: Planning your holiday dinner? Learn how to create a creative, signature dish to wow the family this year.

Drop The Mic Anniversary Show
When: Wednesday, December 14 from 8pm to 10pm.
Where: Sycamore, 1118 Cortelyou Road between Stratford and Westminster Roads.
What: Sycamore’s all-female comedy show turns one, featuring stand-up by Leah Bonnema, Sydnee Washington Kerryn Feehan, Selena Coppock, and hosted by Kendra Cunningham.

Cassidy Andrews Emily Wolfe & Alex Arkin at the Owl
When: Thursday, December 15 at 8pm.
Where: The Owl Music Parlor, 497 Rogers Avenue between Midwood and Maple Streets.
What: Hear these two charming singer-songwriters grace the stage at the Owl music parlor.

American Roots music at Bar Chord
