Canarsie Man Found Dead Behind Bed-Stuy Senior Center
UPDATE (2/6/18): The deceased has been identified by NYPD as 40-year old John McGuigan, of East 82nd Street in Canarsie.
BED-STUY – This morning, NYPD received a 10:37 am call about an unconscious person behind the Saratoga Square Senior Housing Center in Bed-Stuy.
Arriving at 930 Halsey Street, near Broadway, officers found the fully clothed body of an unresponsive 40-year old man, said police. Arriving EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending family notification. An investigation is ongoing, and the medical examiner will determine a cause of death.
