Ayana and Tobias Holler over at Black Forest Brooklyn already have some of the best German and Brooklyn beers in the borough, but now they have their own BFB-branded craft beer, debuting this Friday, October 23 for half-off from 5-7pm.

Dubbed the BFB Hausmarke IPA, it is brewed at Greenpoint Beer and Ale Company and is a German twist on the India Pale Ale. It will normally cost $11 for a pint.

“It is brewed five barrels at a time with respect for the great German brewing traditions while embracing the creative spirit of the US craft beer movement,” write the Hollers.

“Our BFB Hausmarke IPA combines classic American hops with German Polaris hops to coat the tongue with dark, piney and woody flavors that remind us of autumn walks through the Black Forest [in Germany],” they added. “It is fermented with German yeast, and with it’s sturdy malt backbone and 6.8% ABV we think it’s just perfect for long fall and winter evenings.”

Prost!
