With Passover starting on Monday, and Easter on March 31, it’s time for a lot of families to start thinking about menus for family dinners. If the prospect of spending all day shopping and chopping doesn’t sound all that appealing, lucky for us, we’ve got BKYLN Larder nearby.

The Flatbush Ave shop has menus for both holidays and is now taking orders. You have to order at least a week in advance by calling 718-783-1250 or faxing your order to 718-783-1255. Now let’s take a look at just some of the menu highlights.

Passover: brisket braised with wine, herbs, and tomato is $26/pound; roasted baby turnips and radishes are $14/pound; 6 hardboiled eggs are $5; chopped liver is $7.50/8 oz; a quart of matzoh ball soup is $14; chocolate coconut macaroons are $2 each.

Easter: a Berkshire ham with a maple-mustard glaze that serves 6-8 people is $19/pound; farro pasta salad with feta cheese, olives, and scallions is $14/pound; a carrot cake is $28; hot cross buns are $2.50 each or $28/dozen.
