BK Magazine Names Brooklyn Commune’s BLT One Of The Best Sandwiches In The Borough

What’s your favorite thing to eat at Brooklyn Commune (601 Greenwood Avenue on the corner of Prospect Avenue)? If you haven’t tried their pumped-up BLT yet, consider doing so. The sourdough-surrounded sandwich ($8.50) was just named one of Brooklyn Magazine’s 20 Best Sandwiches in 20 Brooklyn Neighborhoods. The magazine says:

The main ingredients are all exactly what you’d want: thick-cut, perfectly crisp bacon (and plenty of it), fresh lettuce, and ripe, juicy tomatoes.
But what Brooklyn Commune added is a slick of smashed avocado on one piece of the bread and savory tomato jam on the other, lending just the right amount of creaminess, plus an extra hit of umami, making this simple sandwich so much more than the sum of its admittedly already excellent parts.

So, do you agree with their ranking, do you think a different sandwich in the Kensington-Windsor Terrace area deserves the acclaim–or are you just not ready to choose?
