Enjoy Wine Specials And Cheese Happy Hour To Celebrate Greene Grape Annex’s Anniversary
It’s been a good week for the Greene Grape mini-empire. Monday brought news that they are among the local businesses to win first place in the 2015 Greenest Block In Brooklyn contest for their vibrant storefront, and then Friday — tomorrow! — brings the first anniversary celebration of their Annex Cafe at 753 Fulton Street.
In celebration, Team Greene Grape is doing a special tomorrow (aka Friday, August 7) with $3 prosecco and single cut lager ALL DAY, a cheese plate happy hour at Annex from 5-7pm, and a wine tasting next door at Wine & Spirits from 6-8pm.
“This anniversary is another exciting thing, another drop in the bucket,” said catering manager Meg Christman. “The past few years have been a lot of different growth and change. We’re happy we’ve been supported by the neighborhood in each of these endeavors. Time has really flown since the Annex moved across the street [from its former home at 680 Fulton Street, where Greene Grape Scoops now sits]. It’s just another day in business for us and that’s a great thing!”
“This time last year we were counting down the final days of construction on our new cafe and preparing to say goodbye to 680 Fulton street across the way. Now we are serving cocktails on the sidewalk and scooping ice cream past sundown,” wrote Team Greene Grape in an email. “We owe so much to the Fort Greene community. Thank you for helping us grow!”
