Bensonhurst School Gets $80K Worth Of Fancy New Additions

The Brooklyn Expeditionary Learning School (2630 Benson Avenue) received a library makeover and a College Access Center as part of an $80,000 grant from Capital One Bank and the Heart of America Foundation.

According to a press release, the grant covered a full library makeover, furnishing it with new books, furniture and computers. The new College Access Center provides students a resource room where they can research careers, colleges, study for entrance exams and complete financial aid applications.

Principal David O’Hara expressed gratitude at all the new additions and stressed the impact they will have on the lives of his students.

s critically important to Leaders,” O’Hara said in the release. “We are thrilled to have such a beautiful library and college access center here at our school and are grateful to The Heart of America Foundation and Capital One Bank for their generous commitment to supporting the future success of our students.”
