Bed-Stuy Man Shot to Death in Sumner Houses Apartment

BED-STUY – A man was shot and killed last night at the Sumner Houses in Bed-Stuy, police confirmed.

Around 7:30 pm on Monday, November 12, police received a 911 call of a man shot inside 896 Park Avenue, near Broadway. Arriving to the scene, officers found Theodore Smith, 29, who had been shot twice in the head.

Smith, who was found in his own apartment, was transported by EMS to Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

So far, there have been no arrests made, but an investigation into the death is ongoing.
