Be Aware Of Bus Reroutes & Greenmarket Vendor Parking For Sunday's Flatbush Frolic
Flatbush Frolic stage

The 38th Annual Flatbush Frolic is this Sunday, September 15–and while the scheduled activities and performances are sure to be a blast, those parking in the immediate vicinity or taking a bus around town might not have quite as much fun.

Cortelyou will be closed to traffic from Ocean Avenue to Coney Island Avenue from 11am-6pm. The MTA site doesn’t currently show a service change, so adventurous B103 riders can try catching the bus on Flatbush Avenue south of Cortelyou, or Church Avenue just east of Ocean Parkway (or, slightly more reliably, just take the subway).

Also, Cortelyou Greenmarket manager Tali Biale is asking for neighbors’ help accommodating vendors on Sunday who won’t be able to park in their normal spots because of the Frolic. If you normally park on Argyle near Cortelyou, Tali asks that you relocate for the day so that vendors with heavy loads may take up those spaces.

In addition to farmers being parked on Argyle, compost and textile collection bins will be in front of the library on this week.
