Baseball Bat Beating in East Flatbush

EAST FLATBUSH – Police are looking for a man who assaulted another man with a baseball bat last Friday.

On September 8, around 6:00 pm, two men were involved in a dispute outside 762 East 48th Street, near Avenue D. The dispute led to violence, and the victim, a 22 year-old man, was beaten with a baseball bat by an unknown assailant, said police.

The victim suffered head trauma and was taken to a nearby hospital in critical but stable condition. The bat-wielding assailant fled northbound on E 48th in a grey Honda Accord.

It is unclear what caused the dispute, said an NYPD spokesman.

The man wanted in connection with the assault is described by police as a black man in his 40s, roughly 5’10” and 170 lbs. The vehicle he fled in can be seen below.
