Bar Talk: 3 Simple Summer Cocktails From Skylark
With Independence Day on the horizon, it’s time to start talking about the important stuff…like barbecue and cocktail menus.
We caught up with the good folks at Skylark (477 5th Avenue at 11th Street) last week to learn about three of their favorite summer cocktails. The best part? All three drinks are a cinch to pull off at home. You can find a complete breakdown of the recipes below.
The Monte Carlo
1.5 oz Eagle Rare bourbon
1/2 oz grapefruit juice
Top off with about 1.5 oz Prosecco, stir.
The Thunderbird
1.5 oz Tito’s vodka infused with jalapeño
8 oz ginger beer
Lightly shake server over ice. Garnish with lime.
The Bel-Air
1/2 oz Pimms Liqueur
1 oz cucumber flavored vodka
1/2 oz mint simple syrup (equal parts water/sugar; boil with mint leaves until sugar dissolves, strain)
2 oz lemonade
Shake with ice, strain into tall glass. Garnish with lime.
