An Ax Murderer Killed A Pregnant Woman
WILLIAMSBURG – Neighbor charged with murdering a 20-year-old pregnant woman with an ax over the weekend.
On April 20, the NYPD received a call about a 21-year-old woman being transported to Elmhurst Hospital with lacerations to her head and body. To investigate, cops went to the woman’s apartment at 811 Flushing Avenue – Bushwick Houses – and discovered an unconscious 20-year-old.
Savannah Rivera was unresponsive in the living room with multiple stab wounds and lacerations to the head and body. She was declared dead at the scene.
In the same apartment, cops also found an unharmed four-year-old girl in the bedroom. She was the daughter of the 21-year-old woman that was taken to the hospital. Rivera was pregnant and left behind a three-year-old son.
Yesterday, cops arrested 34-year-old Jerry Brown, who lived in the same building as the victim. He is being charged with second-degree murder, second-degree murder attempt, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
