Attend Special Events This Weekend At Temple Beth Emeth
This weekend, Temple Beth Emeth (83 Marlborough Road on the corner of Church Avenue) will be holding some really unusual, cool, and free events.
- On Saturday, November 9 at 10am, award-winning activist and film critic Jan Lisa Huttner will present Tevye’s Daughters: No Laughing Matter, part of the temple’s Sisterhood Lecture Series. “[Fiddler on the Roof writer] Solomon Rabinowitz loved women–especially his wife Olga and their many daughters,” says the flier for the event, “and it was this love that enabled the writer known as ‘Sholem Aleichem’ to create all the memorable female characters we know today.”
- On Sunday, November 10 from 2-5pm, the temple will be hosting Fall into Hannukah, a craft celebration sponsored by the Central Brooklyn Alliance of Synagogues and featuring Fair Trade Judaica, DIY crafts for all ages, story time, and refreshments. They will also be collecting food and coat donations for CAMBA and New York Cares. Email RabbiHoover@gmail.com for more information.
