Attend Church Avenue Sidewalk Sales This Friday Through Sunday
Local merchants and the Church Avenue BID will be hosting “Experience the Caribbean” Church Avenue sidewalk sales from 10am-6pm this Friday, August 23-Sunday, August 25 as a tribute to the upcoming West Indian American Day Parade.
Special activities are being funded by the NYC Department of Small Business Services, plus the BID will be handing out special Church Avenue sales circulars on E 18th Street.
Costumed performers and Carnival costume makers will be on E 17th and E 18th Streets, and organizations including WIADCA (who is putting on this year’s West Indian Day Parade), the Caribbean-American Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Haitian Consulate, and the Caribbean Global Business Network will be by the Church Avenue B/Q station.
The BID is also expecting appearances from elected officials and hopefuls. Bring family, check out costumes and special Church Avenue deals, and enjoy.
