Attempted Robbery On ‘Q’ Train, Burglary In Gravesend, Robberies In Bushwick And East New York
PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS – The NYPD are searching for the man seen in the below photos in connection to a recent attempted robbery on a “Q” train.
At approximately 2:50pm on Friday, September 15, a 39-year-old woman was aboard a southbound “Q” train when the suspect approached her and attempted to take her cell phone. The suspect reportedly punched and kicked the victim in the head and body before fleeing in an unknown direction, police say. The woman managed to hold on to her phone and belongings and reported the incident at the Prospect Park subway station. She was not seriously injured and refused medical attention.
The suspect is described as a black male in his twenties, approximately 6′ 2″ tall and 280 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, military fatigue pants, and brown boots.
GRAVESEND – Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the man seen in the below surveillance video and photos in connection to a burglary that occurred in Gravesend.
At 3pm on Friday, September 8, inside an apartment building located at the Marlboro Houses on Avenue W, the suspect knocked on the apartment door of a 79-year-old male. When the victim opened the door, the suspect barged into his apartment, took a Samsung Galaxy S3 cellphone and a lamp shade, then fled the scene, according to police.
The victim told investigators that the suspect stood beside him in front of the elevator in the building’s lobby prior to the incident.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5′ 8″ tall, 170 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a NY Yankees baseball hat, glasses, a black vest, a blue & white striped shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
BUSHWICK – Police are searching for the man seen in the below surveillance video in connection to a robbery that took place in Bushwick in July.
At approximately 11:50pm on Thursday, July 6, a 16-year old male was in the vicinity of 191 Knickerbocker Avenue when the suspect approached him from behind then punched him in the face. The suspect took the victim’s phone and fled the scene southbound on Knickerbocker Avenue, police say.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man, approximately 21-years-old, 6′ 0″, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing red shorts, white socks, and red sneakers.
EAST NEW YORK – Police are asking the public’s assistance in identifying the two men seen in the below surveillance video in connection to a robbery that occurred in the vicinity of East New York/Cypress Hills.
At approximately 2:40am on Saturday, September 16, a 32-year-old man was in front of his home located near Lincoln and Autumn Avenues, police say. He was approached by the suspects who displayed a firearm and demanded his property. The suspects fled the scene with the victim’s iPhone and Nintendo Switch console, according to police.
The victim was not injured during the incident.
Police describe the suspects as Hispanic males.
