PARK SLOPE – Cops are looking for a man who they believed attempted to rape two women in two separate incidents in a span of a week.

On September 8 at around 4:30 a.m., a 26-year-old woman was entering the lobby of her building at Garfield Place and Prospect Park West, when a man followed her inside through the open door. Once they were inside the building, cops say the man exposed himself and grabbed the woman’s waist trying to prevent her from entering farther into the building. The woman struggled and the man fled and headed eastbound toward Prospect Park West. The woman was not physically injured.

On September 16 at around 7 p.m., a 17-year-old girl was walking at Carroll Street and Eighth Avenue. A man approached her from behind, grabbed her butt, and threatened that he was going to sexually assault her. According to the cops, the girl was able to flee the location. A 50-year-old witness attempted to detain the suspect, but the suspect kicked the man and fled in an unknown direction.

Cops describe the suspect as a 5’10” to 6’2” tall black man with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt.
