Artist Juan Carlos Pinto Brightens Up 773 Lounge Following Devastating Fire

After a fire destroyed 773 Lounge in early November, the bar that has been a beloved watering hole in our neighborhood for decades has been a sad sight, the revelry and music replaced by boarded up windows.

And while it’s going to be quite some time before the Coney Island Avenue bar will be able to reopen, we are happy to see artist Juan Carlos Pinto (who’s done numerous projects around our area, including the Brooklyn mosaic next to the former John’s Bakery and the Newkirk Plaza tunnel mural) has brightened up the spot with some of his incredible paintings:
