Arrests Made After Second Assault, Robbery Of An Elderly Victim

SHEEPSHEAD BAY – Another assault and robbery of an elderly Brooklynite in Sheepshead Bay took place last week, related to a similar incident at the end of last month. This time however, there were arrests.

Just before 7:00pm on Wednesday, October 4, four male teens struck a 65-year old victim from behind in the area of Avenue W and Brigham Street, said police.

Holding the man to the ground, the assailants stole about $400 cash from his wallet, along with credit and debit cards and personal items, then fled. The victim refused medical attention at the scene, said police.

The next day, October 5, police arrested 17-year old Hakeem Dennis as part of an ongoing investigation into the attacks. He was charged with robbery, assault and menacing in connection with both incidents, according to police.

Then, on Friday, October 6, 16-year old Brandon Parbar was arrested as well, charged with robbery in connection with the October 4 incident, said police.
