The lottery for 15 affordable units at Prospect Heights’ new rental development, The Brooklyn Zinc, opened up yesterday.

Located at 313 Saint Marks Avenue, the new building was designed by S3 Architecture and features 75 residences in total, with three studios ($856/month rent), four 1-bedrooms ($958/month rent), and eight two-bedrooms ($1,114/month rent) reserved for affordable housing.

See the available affordable units and corresponding income requirements below.

The Brooklyn Zinc‘s corrugated zinc façade and loft-inspired residences are a nod to the area’s industrial past. Building amenities include a bike room, gym, laundry facilities, media room, virtual doorman, courtyard, and rooftop terrace.

Mobility-disabled applicants, vision- or hearing-disabled applicants, municipal employees, and residents of Brooklyn Community Board 8 (Crown Heights, Prospect Heights, Weeksville) will receive preference over other applicants.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday, June 21. Go to NYC Housing Connect to apply or to find more information.
