Diners looking to celebrate locally sourced cuisines and help underserved communities do the same don’t have to venture out of the neighborhood for NYC Gets Fresh this week . The Slope’s own Applewood is one of over 20 establishments participating in the farm-to-table restaurant week (through Sunday, August 26th) to benefit food charity Wholesome Wave. A different dish is featured each night.
