Another Body Found In Water By Brooklyn Army Terminal; Police Release Images Of Tattoos Found On First Body

SUNSET PARK – A second body was discovered floating in the water by the Brooklyn Army Terminal over the weekend, just days after an unidentified man’s body was found in the vicinity.

At approximately 7am on Saturday, March 16, police responded to a call of a woman spotted in the Bay Ridge Channel by 56th Street in Sunset Park. Members of the NYPD Emergency Service Unit removed the unconscious and unresponsive woman from the water to Pier 4 where EMS pronounced her deceased.

According to an NYPD representative, the woman was fully clothed but no other description is currently available. The NYC Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation remains ongoing.

On Wednesday, March 13, police discovered a man’s badly decomposed body in the water near 58th Street. Over the weekend, the NYPD released photos of tattoos found on the man’s body in hopes that the public will be able to help identify him. The tattoos include: a money bag on his left forearm; two boxing gloves on his left arm; and a tattoo with a skeleton reading “Cheat 2 Win” and “MOB.”
