Anniversary Party: All Are Invited

Sheepshead Bay has traditionally been home to many Reformed Jews, Catholics, and more recently Russian Jews. This weekend, you can get a chance to meet and have some fun with our neighborhood’s very own storefront Protestants known as Bethel Baptist Fellowship.

The Bible-believing, Independent Baptist, Fundamental Christians who have made Voorhies Avenue (between East 23 & East 24 Streets) home for the past ten years will be having a street fair to mark their anniversary.

It’s a very small street, so there won’t be any carnival rides or inflatable bouncers like they have at other such events around Brooklyn. But, they will send in the clown and it will be 100 percent fun.

Here are the details from the flyer:

You’re invited to Bethel Baptist Fellowship’s Tenth Year Anniversary Celebration starting with a Street Fair on Saturday, May 9, 2009 from 12 Noon – 3:00 pm
Come and join us for a fun (free) filled afternoon!
Sneak Preview:
A Professional Clown; Hot dogs & beverage; Baked goods; Games; Face Painting; Puppet show; Live music; Literature table
Then come back on Sunday, May 10th through Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. for special meetings with guest speaker, Mike Schrock.
We’ll conclude with a family banquet on Wednesday, May 13th, 2009.
