Police have arrested a woman for assault after an argument with a manager of an American Apparel store in Cobble Hill.

According to police, on December 2, 20-year-old Lakia English became combative inside of the 112 Court Street (at State Street) location after an argument when she threw a fiberglass fixture at the victim, bruising her shoulder.

An American Apparel employee who witnessed the incident told BKLYNER that the victim was a store manager who refused to do a return on clothing that had been worn, because it is against store policy.

The employee, who wished to stay anonymous, says that English then became upset and began to shout at the manager and proceeded to throw the fixture at her.

The suspect has consistently displayed suspicious behavior and raises a red flag every time she enters the store, according to the employee.

English was arrested and charged with assault, menacing, harassment, and criminal possession of a weapon.

In 2012, English was also the subject of a missing persons report where she was last seen leaving 135 Washington Walk in Fort Greene.

She also faces charges for stealing $275 worth of beauty products from the Sephora at 210 Joralemon Street on November 10, according to a report by DNAinfo.
