Alternate Side Parking Suspended Tomorrow, October 9, and Friday, October 10 For Sukkot
Don't Honk, Fines, No Parking Signs

Heads up for all the drivers out there – you don’t have to move your parked cars tomorrow, October 9, or Friday, October 10, because alternate side parking regulations will be suspended for Sukkot. All other regulations, including parking meters, will remain in effect.

The Jewish holiday of Sukkot, otherwise known as the Feast of Tabernacles, begins Wednesday evening, and the seven-day festival ends at nightfall on October 15. It commemorates when the Israelites left Egypt and traveled for 40 years in the Sinai Desert before entering the Holy Land – a story outlined in the Book of Exodus.

Alternate side parking will also be suspended on Monday, October 13 for Columbus Day.
