Almondine Bakery Fundraiser in Dumbo This Weekend
As we mentioned a few weeks ago, South Slope’s Almondine Bakery has been shuttered since Sandy devastated their Dumbo kitchen. Friends and neighbors pulled together and formed Friends of Almondine to help chef and owner, Hervé Poussot, rebuild, and to date, the group has raised over $18,000.
They’re not stopping there, though. This weekend, the best pastry chefs in New York City are donating their talents and treats to The Almondine Bakery Pop-Up Fundraiser, scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm. Enjoy cakes, pastries, and chocolates from such places as Le Bernardin, Bouchon Bakery and La Maison du Chocolat, and help a local business in need.
The Almondine Pop-Up Fundraiser will be held at 85 Water Street, between Dock and Main Streets in Dumbo. For more information, email friendsofalmondine@gmail.com.
