Alleged “Sniper” In 2010 Gravesend Murder Caught In Puerto Rico

Authorities have arrested the alleged gunman behind the September 2010 killing of a bread deliveryman, says the New York Daily News.

With the help of witnesses, cops identified Anthony Martinez as the man behind the killing of the victim, Jorge Martinez (no relation). According to NY1, the police were able to track down Anthony Martinez in Puerto Rico and make an arrest thanks to a tip. He was extradited to New York last Thursday.

The arrest comes more than a year since the senseless killing that claimed the life of the father of two on Avenue X. At the time, the family of the fallen deliveryman demanded answers from the New York City Police Department.

Investigators believed the gunman was testing out a new weapon on the roof of the Marlboro Housing projects, first firing on several parked cars before training his scope on Martinez’s moving van.

Two bullets entered the victim’s van and instantly killed him. Authorities believe there are still more people at large.
