Fort Greene Park is about to go to the dogs for a free screening of “Best In Show.”

The three free Friday night screenings, sponsored by Alamo Drafthouse, will take place at about sundown on May 27, June 3, and June 10 in Fort Greene Park, adding to the growing list of free outdoor summer movies in the Brownstone Belt.

“We think Drafhouse’s knack for producing one-of-a-kind film experiences in iconic settings is an absolutely perfect pairing with Fort Greene Park, and we’re thrilled to be able to bring our neighborhood three weeks of cinematic fun together,” said Julian Macrone, Program and Development Manager for the Fort Greene Park Conservancy.

On May 27, a screening of Christopher Guest’s “Best In Show” will be preceded by an actual dog show. Brooklynites are encouraged to bring their four-legged canine friends to this show for an opportunity to take part in the festivities.

On June 3, the classic David Bowie flick “Labyrinth”, which is ideal for audience participation through singing and quoting along, will be shown and early arrivals will get free souvenir props.

On June 10, the series will wrap up with the kid-friendly “Finding Nemo”.

Alamo Drafthouse is a national theater chain based out of Austin, Texas that’s coming to Downtown Brooklyn soon.

“With the Brooklyn sky as our roof, these Fort Greene Park screenings represent the perfect opportunity to meet our new neighbors and introduce them to Alamo Drafthouse,” said New York Creative Manager/Programmer Cristina Cacioppo.
