Al Fresco or Al Operating Illegally?

If you were planning a romantic dinner tonight at Sotto Voce, it looks like it’s time to start thinking about plan B. FiPS got a tip last night that the restaurant was just closed down by the city for “operating illegally.”
According to the hand-written note posted next to the official city sign, the whole kerfuffle is about an expired outdoor cafe license, which according to the note, is only expired because of “foot dragging on the city’s part.” We’ll keep you posted.
In the meantime, we hear that Denny’s is now all about the Brooklyn Italian, so there’s always that.
