Afternoon Bite: The Alamo Wrap From Naidre’s
The great outdoors was calling our name this afternoon, but before we made our way to the patio table, we wanted to find something for lunch that was fresh and light, but full of flavor. Enter our friends at Naidre’s and their Alamo wrap ($9.25).
Like Naidre’s stellar breakfast burrito, the Alamo comes with black beans, housemade roasted corn salsa, and a whole wheat wrap, but has the added bonus of chicken, big chunks of avocado, tomatoes, and chipotle dressing.
The chipotle dressing is nice and smoky, with a good kick, but not enough of one that it would turn off those with a low heat tolerance. It’s just right.
The chicken was juicy, and the roasted corn salsa….oh, that roasted corn salsa. It’s good stuff. If ever given the opportunity, we could probably eat the roasted corn salsa by the spoonful.
If you’re on the hunt for lunch, remember the Alamo. You’ll be glad you did.
Naidre’s is located at 384 7th Avenue, between 11th and 12th Street. Hours are Monday – Sunday, 7am to 8pm. For more information, call (718) 965-7585.
