Affordable Housing Lottery Launches For 73 Units At 810 Fulton Street
FORT GREENE – An affordable housing lottery launched last week for 73 newly constructed apartments at 810 Fulton Street (at Clermont Avenue) on the border of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.
Designed by Aufgang Architects, the building’s available units include 22 studios at $913/month, 36 one-bedrooms at $980/month, and 15 two-bedrooms at $1,183/month. The units are reserved for applicants earning 60-percent of the area median income (AMI).
Annual household income requirements range from $33,189 to $43,860 for single applicants; $33,189 to $50,100 for couples; $42,549 to $56,340 for families of three; and $42,549 to $62,580 for families of four.
RXR Realty is developing the twelve-story mixed-use property featuring a total of 363 rental apartments and 33,000 square feet of retail space. Amenities include a 24-hour attended lobby, an on-site resident manager, a landscaped courtyard, and a washer and dryer in every unit. For additional fees residents will also have access to fitness/recreation facilities, bike storage, and underground parking.
Preference will be given to current residents of Brooklyn Community Board 2 (50%) which includes Boerum Hill, Bridge Plaza, Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn Navy Yard, Clinton Hill, Downtown Brooklyn, DUMBO, Farragut, Fort Greene, Fulton Ferry Landing, Vinegar Hill, and Wallabout, as well as municipal employees (5%). A percentage of units will be set aside for applicants with mobility (5%) and vision/hearing (2%) disabilities.
