Low-income and moderate-income condos in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill have hit the housing lottery market at prices starting at $230,000 for one-bedroom units. Located at the Condos At Navy Green building at 8 Vanderbilt Avenue, there are 74 affordable units — out of a total 99 units in the building — available.
As noted in Brokelyn, the one-bedroom price range is $230,000 to $310,000, two-bedrooms range from $330,000 to $382,000, and three-bedroom units go for $410,000 to $440,000.
Income eligibility requirements are between $54,000-$114,020 (for 1-br), $78,200-$$142,400 (for 2-br), and $97,950-$175,350 (for 3-br).
Applications are due via mail by Tuesday, May 26. There are also information sessions for interested applicants, on Thursday, April 2 and Wednesday, April 15 from 6 to 8 pm, at Founder’s Hall at Francis College, located at 180 Remsen Street in Brooklyn Heights.
Low-income rental units are also available at the larger Navy Green complex, specifically at 7 Clermont Avenue (aka Navy Green R1). Application details show that there are only studio units available at this time for this building.
Monthly rent for these studios start at $854 and $1,363.19 depending on the unit size, and annual income requirements must fall between $30,960-$36,120 or $48,110-$78,260.
