Advocate CPA Group, Which Specializes In Non-Traditional Tax Issues, Opens Local Office

If figuring out tax planning for your recent same-sex marriage seems intimidating, a new local certified public accountant office may be the place to help you through it.

Advocate CPA Group, a firm of Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) based in NYC, recently moved its operations office to 159 20th Street, just off 4th Avenue in the BrooklynWorks at 159 building. Founded in 2003, the accounting firm specializes in tax planning for non-traditional families and engaged couples, as well as tax preparation for artists, small businesses, and foreign nationals who live and/or work in the United States.

“With the legalization of same-sex marriage in multiple jurisdictions, the tax terrain became more complex for non-traditional households,” says Shelly Goch (pictured above), a CPA with over 25 years of experience who heads the firm.

As you’re thinking about year-end giving and gearing up for tax season starting in January, you’ve now got this new local option to consider if you’re looking for assistance. For more info, contact their office at 718-285-7713.
