UPDATE: Adoptable Senior Dogs Find Home After Owner’s Sudden Death
UPDATE January 14: Billi the cat has found a loving foster home, and if it looks like she’s going to be a good fit in the household, perhaps even a forever home. Her new foster mom tells us that Billi is “getting daily belly rub sessions and plenty of treats.” We love it! Cheers to everyone out there who helped to find these four animals their new homes.
Earlier: We’ve got fantastic news that will help to start your week off with a smile. FIDO announced on Saturday that Liberty and Nena, our two senior dogs that were up for adoption after the sudden passing of their owner, have found a home.
Through the persistent efforts of some very nice people, the dogs will be adopted together by an experienced senior adopter. Fantastic work Park Slope Veterinary Care, Yvette Schneider and Sonia Lundy, and everyone who kept this going until it worked out! What a relief for this bereaved family!
Out of the four animals we originally told you about, only 9-year-old Billi the cat (shown above, top left) remains. We can do this, South Slope! If you are interested in meeting Billi, please contact Cory from Park Slope Veterinary Care at 718-788-0500, via his cell at 718-644-1932, or by email, smile36@hotmail.com.
