Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Beautiful “Torbie” Cat

Neighbor Sonia Ajwani found this apparently lost or abandoned but Incredibly sweet and affectionate cat on the bridle path near Lakeside in Prospect Park on June 24. According to a passerby, she had been in that area for over a week without moving very far.

This female cat is 2 to 3 years old with gorgeous tortoiseshell and orange tabby or “torbie” coat. Sonia had her checked out at Alison Animal Hospital. She is already spayed, FIV negative and has had all of her vaccinations done. However, no microchip was found.

Sonia says, “We are fostering until we can find her owners or a new forever home. She tolerates other cats but our own cat keeps attacking her. She would make an excellent companion for any person or family looking for an easygoing and loving lapcat.”
