Looking for a new companion? Look at this handsome boy! And he comes all the way to Brooklyn from Baku, Azerbaijan!

Sean Casey says:
Commodore is our handsome 2-year-old Shepherd mix. This big boy was rescued from the streets of Baku, Azerbaijan and flown to our rescue.
Commodore has been described by his foster parents as a docile, affectionate, mushy, lazy, and an overall sweet pup. Commodore adores attention and being brushed — he even let the groomers give him and mani/pedi without any issues!
Commodore doesn’t have any food aggression and his fosters are able to remove food directly from his mouth. Because this big boy was a street dog, he loves being outdoors and can walk for hours! He would do great with an active family who loves the outdoors (or has a large yard for him to run around in).
If you’re looking for a hiking or jogging partner then Commodore may be your match! This handsome lug does well with other docile dogs, but he’s not a fan of energetic dogs getting in his face. Commodore adores people and would love to join your family.

You can arrange to meet Commodore at the Sean Casey Animal Shelter, located at 153 E 3rd Street, between Fort Hamilton Parkway and Caton Avenue — a quick trip on the F/G to Fort Hamilton Parkway — open daily from 11am to 7pm. For more info, call 347-599-1500. You can also email them at foster@nyanimalrescue.org.
