White Bird Productions, a non-profit theater company, has been making theater with the children of Brooklyn for over twenty years. Long before the borough was notorious for its stroller count, White Bird was creating dynamic, original performances with hundreds of young artists every summer.

Each week, world-class theater artists work with students (grades K – 9) to write, rehearse, and perform shows based on themes ranging from “Rock Opera” to “MTA Melodrama” to “Revolution.” Expect innovative performances each Friday created by your young artist in collaboration with professional playwrights, actors, musicians, and puppeteers.

White Bird’s flexible, one-week sessions run from June 25 – August 13 and are the perfect solution for parents still scrambling to finalize their child’s summer schedule. In addition to acting, singing, and movement activities, White Bird also provides a unique opportunity for young visual artists to explore exciting new applications of their craft. Students will design and build costumes, character props, puppets, and set pieces for the Friday performances. White Bird has one goal – to nurture each child’s individual talent, creativity, and sense of play. All the while making sure they have an unforgettably fun-filled summer, of course.
