A Strike & More To Look Out For On The Rails This Weekend
D Train Subway at Atlantic Avenue


If you’re hoping to hop on the Long Island Rail Road out of Atlantic for a little beach getaway this weekend, keep an eye on news about the possible strike that could start on Sunday. As for our local subway lines, things aren’t looking too bad. Details below via the MTA:

Coney Island-bound F trains run via the A from W 4 St to Jay St-MetroTech
Weekend, 11:45pm Friday to 5am Monday, July 18-21
No Coney Island-bound F service at B’way-Lafayette St, 2 Av, Delancey St,
East Broadway, and York St. More details here.
No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
All times until October 2014
No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.
Additionally, look out for changes further along the 2, 4, D, F, Q, and R lines.
