A Glimpse Inside Sister’s Restaurant
We noticed some of the window coverings had been removed at Sister’s, the eatery coming to the former Sister’s Hardware Store space at 900 Fulton Street (between Washington and Waverly Avenues), this morning. The lack of trash bags that had been covering the restaurant’s windows since the disassembling of their sidewalk shed earlier this summer afforded us a look at what Sister’s will be when it finally opens.
Caned chairs and bar stools are parked throughout the restaurant, which consists of front and back rooms plus a mezzanine level. A number of wood details serve to warm up the very airy space, which has a huge skylight and no shortage of other windows, and a mosaic tiled floor contrasts with the marble tiling on the walls.
Sister’s owner Damon Gorton, also of Park Slope’s Flatbush Farm, says he’s polishing off some necessary paperwork before setting an official opening date.
In the meantime, what do you think of the space’s new look?
